Ski is SOLD OUT. Intro to Freestyle Team (Ages 8-15): Looking to participate in Freestyle or Freeride Team? Intro Team is for athletes who are NEW to the WMR Freestyle Team. Don't want to pay a 3% tax on part of your payment for one last season? Pay in full today instead of signing up for a payment plan. Tax goes into effect June 1st and will be applied to your second payment on November 8th.|
For intermediate skiers and snowboarders. This 10-week program builds confidence and competition skills needed for freeriding/freeskiing. This includes advanced fundamentals, intro to off-piste, freestyle terrain, competition skills, and safety and awareness. Dates and details listed below.
Requirements: To participate, athletes need to have completed up to a level blue Devo program through WMR Ski& Ride School OR have participated in FVSEF Race Team’s All Mountain Rangers. Athletes should be comfortable on all WMR groomed runs, skiers making parallel turns and snowboarders riding both heelside & toeside.
Includes: 10 weeks of on-snow team training (9:30 am - 3:00 pm on chosen day) and 6 weeks of Fall dryland training (outdoor)
Saturday: 9:30am—3:00pm January 3 – March 7
Sunday: 9:30am—3:00pm January 4 – March 8Purchase of this product will enroll you in our 2 payment plan. The second payment will be automatically collected on the 8th of November using the card from enrollment. If you need to update or change the credit card for the second payment, it will need to done directly in your estore account under 'payment plan'.
If we cannot collect the 2nd payment, your spot on the team will be released and we will put the funds from the initial installment into a stored value on your account. Funds will not be returned to you.
*Please note that the 3% Big Mountain Resort Area District tax goes into effect June 1, 2025 and will be applied to your second payment.
REFUNDS:
Program fees may be refunded up until November 15, 2025, exceptions are made for injury or serious illness. There are no partial refunds OR transfers of payments to group lessons or other programs for those that miss class due to; a temporary sickness, another hobby or event, or any other personal choice. Refunds must be applied for in writing. Due to difference in curriculum, age requirements, coaching and training schedules we are not able to offer a different training day as a make-up for missing a practice. Please do your best to make it to your scheduled practices, making it to half a day is better than missing a whole day.
Winter Weather Policy:
Freestyle Team will plan to hold our trainings in winter weather – that’s part of the learning process and an element of winter sports. We will take the lead of our operations department and cancel/delay programs to align with lift operations and mountain closures. While it will be our goal to reschedule, it is not always possible, and we encourage each family to do what is best for them and the needs of the participants on these days. There are no refunds or partial refunds for missed dates.
“Whitefish Freestyle Inc” is a non-profit support organization separate from the WMR Freestyle Ski and Snowboard Team. The Inc. is made up of current and past parents, coaches and supporters from the community. Through fundraising efforts, there is a fund available that pays for team activities, and subsidizes team travel expenses, coaches' education and athlete scholarships for Freestyle Team program fees.
